IAU Working Group on
Numerical Standards for Fundamental Astronomy
Welcome to the updated web page for the International Astronomical Union
(IAU) Working Group (WG) on Numerical Standards for Fundamental Astronomy
(NSFA). This Division I WG was set up by a proposal adopted at the IAU
General Assembly in 2006. The stated goals of the WG based on the proposal
are:
- Update "IAU Current Best Estimates
- Conform with IAU Resolutions/IERS Conventions/SI
The membership of the WG has been chosen to span a wide range of expertise.
The current membership is:
- Brian Luzum (Chair)
- Nicole Capitaine
- Agnes Fienga
- Bill Folkner
- Toshio Fukushima
- James Hilton
- Catherine Hohenkerk
- George Krasinsky
- Gerard Petit
- Elena Pitjeva
- Michael Soffel
- Patrick Wallace
Current Best Estimates
One of the primary goals of the WG is to assemble the IAU "Current Best
Estimates" (CBEs). The list of CBEs is provided here.
The current draft resolutions are provided here.
NSFA Bulletins
The list of NSFA Bulletins that have been sent is provided below.
